Musicogenic Seizures

musicogenic seizures

Thought for the day: Musicogenic Seizures are triggered by music, not by just any sounds or noises. In fact they are apparently “in no way related” to audiogenic or sound-induced seizures which are “attributed to a peculiar susceptibility of subcortical structures”.* Which begs the question -when do sounds and noises become music and what is actually triggering these phenomenal fits?
